Bars in Ankara: R-Public

The R-Public is a bar in Kizilay that is referred to as the Republic. This bar is fairly non descript and has no unique atmosphere to speak of. This being said, it has cheap beer at 3.50 TL a bottle or 5TL a pint. It is frequented by those looking for a good place to smoke while drinking, because it has a large enclosed patio with extensive heaters. Last call is early; closing at 12:30 on some nights. To get there, walk up the north side of Mesuriyet Caddesi from Ataturk Blvd. After 5 minutes of walking, you will come to a FLO store with bright neon lights on a corner. Turn left, and the R-public will be on your right hand side. Have fun!
